The horror of tuberculosis — Chinese poster

Chinese pro-vaccination poster (ca. 1950) showing tuberculosis represented as a shadowy figure shooting people while a sick man coughs into a crowd. Another man representing vaccination meanwhile stands to the left, with the text below reading: ‘The horror of the tuberculosis bacilli and the power of BCG vaccines - the phlegm of the TB patient is like a gun that kills people’. Issued by the Anti-Tuberculosis Committee of Baoding City, the rest of the text describes the dangers of tuberculosis.
